Privacy notice

Illuminares runs this website. This notice explains what we collect, why, how long we keep it, and what you can ask us to do. For anything about your data, write to privacy@illuminares.com.

Early-access sign-up

When you request early access, we store:

We use your email address and name only to tell you about early access and the launch. The legal basis is your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw it at any time by writing to us, and we will delete your details.

The time, IP address and browser details help us spot and block automated spam sign-ups. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the list genuine (Art. 6(1)(f)). To stop floods, we also briefly keep a one-way hash of your IP address, which is cleared out automatically.

All of this is stored on our own server in Germany, run by our hosting provider Hetzner Online GmbH. We don’t sell it, and we don’t share it with anyone else. We keep it until you ask us to remove it, or until we no longer need the early-access list, and then we delete it.

Analytics, only if you accept

If you choose Accept in the cookie banner, we load Google Analytics, provided by Google Ireland Limited. It sets two first-party cookies, _ga and _ga_6CDK3SL2BQ, which last up to 13 months after your last visit. They tell us which pages are viewed, roughly where from (country or city), and on what kind of device and browser. Google Analytics does not store IP addresses, and we have turned off Google Signals and advertising personalisation.

The legal basis is your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a) and Art. 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive). Google may process this data in the United States; Google LLC is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. Google keeps event-level analytics data for up to 14 months.

If you choose Decline, or don’t choose at all, nothing from Google is loaded. You can change your mind at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. Declining also deletes the analytics cookies.

We remember your choice in your browser’s local storage and ask again after six months. It never leaves your device.

Server logs

Like every web server, ours records each request: IP address, time, the page requested, and browser details. We use these records only to keep the site secure and working. The legal basis is our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)). The logs are deleted automatically after 2,048 days (about five and a half years).

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, or to receive it in a portable format. Withdrawing consent doesn’t affect anything done before you withdrew. Write to privacy@illuminares.com.

You also have the right to complain to the data protection authority in the country where you live or work.
